Immerse yourself
Immerse yourself in 4-beat vinyasa flow
4-Beat is the method of synching your breath and movement to the steady beat of music. In this immersion we’ll dive into the psychology of music (what it does to the movement areas of your brain, your hormones, and your energy use), what moving and breathing in time to it does, and why certain music gives you no choice but to move! We will also look at the physical side of the practice, breaking down key poses and workshopping assists.
Who is this for?
This immersion is for anyone who loves music + yoga and is keen to learn about the philosophy and sequence of the 4-beat as well as the psychology of music and its effect on meditation and movement practice. Students who come to class regularly are welcome, as are teachers looking to incorporate music into their teaching.

Meet the teacher
Hannah Whittington
Having put on ballet shoes at the age of two, Hannah had a somewhat veering career path. After a teen-hood in the Royal Ballet, a History degree from Cambridge and a post-grad at the Royal Academy of Music, she spent a few years in the West End before becoming a writer, and briefly, a magician’s assistant. Yoga and music however have been her constant.
Hannah trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa with Sri Shishadri in Mysore, Rocket and Mandala with TYP, then softened into Qigong with Sifu Matthew Cohen and Embodied Yoga Principles with Mark Walsh. She now runs Good Life Yoga School alongside Marcus Veda, together they have created 4Beat trainings – where the steady beat of music, and music’s effect on the mind are tied inextricably to the steady breath and movement of vinyasa.
Meet the teacher
Nino Russo
Nino started yoga back in 2017 in Hong Kong as a way to escape from the intensity of the city and find calmness. Back in London he started practicing Rocket Yoga with Marcus Veda. With Marcus Veda, Hannah Whittingham and Christian Di Giorgio at Good Life Yoga School, Nino has completed Dynamic Vinyasa training, advanced Rocket Vinyasa and 4Beat training.
Nino’s classes are challenging, precisely instructed, music-to-breath linked, and most of all fun.
