Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep” is a deeply nourishing meditation practice that can be used as part of your yoga (asana) class, practised on its own, for others or for yourself. This 6-day course with Francesca Sanlorenzo allows you to experience a range of techniques and approaches, unravel the science, history and philosophy of Yoga Nidra and cultivate your own practice – all from the comfort of home.
Who is this for?
This 6-day training is open to all practitioners who would like to deepen their understanding of Yoga Nidra.
Whether you’re a keen yogi looking to explore the topic and establish a regular practice, a health care professional intrigued by the benefits, or a trainee / qualified yoga teacher, this course with Fra is for you.
If you wish to teach the practice and would like to be certified, you must complete teaching assignments and attend an extra session on the Saturday afternoons to unpack specific teaching principles and techniques.

The course will be LIVE ONLINE on the following days:

You will meet live online for 6 days spread over 3 months.
Your online study hours are:
Saturdays: 09:00-18:00 GMT
Sundays: 09:00-16:00 GMT
Including the self-study between each of the weekend ‘meets’ you will complete approximately 100 hours.
What will I learn?
During the course you will cultivate a daily practice of Yoga Nidra whilst learning about and experiencing different approaches from different schools, both classical and contemporary, helping you to deepen your own practice.
As well as reflecting on your personal journey you will have the opportunity to develop your own unique and authentic voice and to create scripts to share with your community.
We will also unpack the science, history and philosophy behind the practice and its applications in various contexts for you to be ready to deliver Yoga Nidra to a range of different students and settings.
Throughout the course you will also be guided through lots of Yoga Nidra practises to experience some of the theory we have explored in the sessions adding a retreat quality to the training.

Meet the teacher
Francesca Sanlorenzo
Francesca, or Fra as she is known, is a Yoga Therapist, Teacher Trainer and Senior Yoga Teacher with over 1000-hours of yoga studies under her belt.
Her yoga practice is rooted in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition, though she has explored Jivamukti, Scaravelli, Integral Yoga, LV Chair Yoga and Yin. These experiences have led to a fluid and non-dogmatic approach to the way she teaches.
Fra is passionate about Yoga philosophy and holistic benefits that come through a regular practice. Now based in Italy, this online Yoga Nidra course allows her to connect with people from all over the world, and share her knowledge for others to pass on.

Is the course accredited?
Yes. If you are a Yoga Teacher, this course qualifies as 50-hours CPD Yoga Alliance US.
Teachers who are looking for certification to teach the practice will also be required to complete several assignments during the training and afterwards. This includes summaries of journals from self-practice, creating Yoga Nidra script/recordings, and devising a Yoga Nidra workshop structure.
A certificate will be presented upon completing 100% attendance and all assignments**
Is there a payment plan?
Yes – a deposit of £100 followed by 4 instalments.
All training fees need to be settled before 16 March 2025
Is there a manual included?
A PDF course training manual will be shared. You will also receive copies of the slides used throughout, further recommended reading suggestions and audio files
What if i can't complete the assignments on time?
The overall submission deadline for completing assignments is 30th April 2025.
If you are unable to make this deadline, there is a late submission fee of £90.
What if I can't make a session?
If you are unable to join live, the session will be recorded enabling you to catch up and complete the training in real time.
