Level-up your teaching

Do you feel confident in supporting postnatal students who are coming to your classes? Would you like to offer yoga classes for Parents and Babies? Then please join Tara and Clare for this two-day training covering everything you need to know. Tara and Clare have been teaching pre and post-natal teacher training courses for many years, and have seen time and again that teachers grow in confidence when they understand the physiology and principles that are taking place during this extraordinary time of life.

About the course

With 80% of women experiencing pregnancy in their lifetime, understanding how to support and respond to the specific needs of any postnatal students is essential for yoga teachers. When we understand what it means to be ‘postnatal’ we can serve our students with greater clarity and precision, from the early stages post birth, through to years later.

Would you like to start teaching specific classes for postnatal women or parents with their babies? This course will help you discover how to support postnatal women and how to teach postnatal or parent & baby yoga classes.

Got questions?

Who is this training for?
The training is open to qualified yoga teachers looking to expand their studio/community offering as well as trainee teachers who have completed at least 50% of their 200-hour foundational training.

It is also open to professionals who work with the pregnancy and post-natal population, however, this will not certify you to teach yoga if you are not qualified as a yoga teacher. Bodyworkers, pilates teachers, fitness instructors, and any pregnancy educators are welcome to join us to understand and experience post-natal yoga.

Can I do one day of the training?

Yes! You can do Day 1, ‘the fundamentals’, on its own. If you have previously completed a 1 day Postnatal training you are welcome to join for Day 2 only.

Day 1: Supporting postnatal women returning to yoga (‘the fundamentals’)

Day 2: Teaching Postnatal Yoga / Parent and Baby yoga

Can this count towards my Advanced 300-hour YTT?

Yes! The Postnatal Yoga Training can count towards the 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training for all those who are completing their core hours with Erin Prichard & Becky Farbstein at Yogarise.

What will I learn?

By the end of the 2-days, you will be able to confidently teach post-natal women how to move, breathe and rest. Understand how to modify yoga for women to ensure optimum postnatal healing. Plus you will have lots of new ideas to enable babies to enjoy yoga with their parent.

Day one will be about supporting postnatal women returning to yoga and day two will focus on teaching postnatal yoga, parent and baby yoga.
