Inspired learning
Level-up your teaching
Yogarise is delighted to welcome back Tara Lee and Clare Daniell to Peckham for their hugely popular Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training. The past two years’ training sold out so if you’re keen to join we recommend signing up as soon as possible.
About the course
Tara and Clare have worked together for the past decade and used their expertise to design a course that leaves students feeling inspired and grateful to have dedicated time to focus on this incredible period in a woman’s life.
This 3-day and 1-evening training course is aimed at yoga teachers and birth educators (also pilates / fitness instructors or anyone looking to work with this group) who would like to learn about all aspects of pregnancy yoga.
The course will give you tools and information so you can start teaching your own dedicated pregnancy yoga classes – in a group setting or 1-2-1s – and find ways to best support women through their pregnancy and prepare them for birth.
WHAT’S INCLUDED?
- A pregnancy yoga manual.
- An understanding of how pregnant women need to move, breathe and rest throughout their pregnancy and in preparation for birth.
- Information on how to modify yoga for women with Pelvic girdle pain and other pregnancy-related issues.
- New ideas for postures: sequenced to include not only in a pregnancy yoga class but also in other group classes (eg. for beginners, people with injuries, older people, gentle yoga classes).
- Certification of 50 hours of CPD with Yogarise + Yoga Alliance Professionals. This is presented upon completion of all elements including, assignments, observations, attendance, and the teaching assessment on the final day.

What to expect?
Training days will open with a brief overview the day’s theme and any questions students have from the previous day. There will be deep dives into anatomy, physiology, sequencing, and yoga philosophy as we cover each daily topic, as well as teaching and class plan creation practice.
Day 1 will focus on the first trimester. We will open with a general yoga class, common symptoms of pregnancy, and discussions on awareness of what you bring to the class as the teacher.
Day 2 will focus on the second trimester, a yoga class using props, talk on sequencing classes, and an understanding of the pelvic floor and pelvic girdle pain.
Day 3 will focus on the third trimester, partner work yoga class, pranayama, anatomy of birth, birth preparation techniques, and group teaching assessment.
