Level-up your teaching
After two successful trainings, Yogarise is delighted to welcome Senior Yoga Teacher and Psychotherapist Nicolette Wilson-Clarke for a third year to offer her hugely important Trauma Sensitive Training. This 4-day insightful in-person training at Yogarise Peckham will provide you with tools to sensitively support the emotions of others plus manage your own responses as a practitioner or leader in your field.
Who is this for?
This 4-day training is open to all practitioners who find themselves working with trauma survivors. It’s for those wanting to be able to recognise and identify trauma in those they work with, for example, yoga & pilates teachers, dance practitioners/producers/directors/educators, somatic workers, carers, and physical/mental health therapists.
This training is invaluable if you wish to support your own, someone else’s or a loved one’s experience of trauma.
All participants have the unique opportunity to apply for the role of assistant on the following year’s training under the guidance of Nicolette. Details will be shared on the final day of the course.
When + Where?
The course will take place from Thursday 20th February – Sunday 23rd February, 10.00-18.00 at Yogarise Peckham
What will I learn?
By the end of the course you will:
- Recognise trauma and its symptoms in yourself and others
- Recognise when extra care, sensitivity, and support are needed for others experiencing trauma
- Feel both mentally and emotionally empowered to manage and support yourself and others
- Plan and deliver a trauma-sensitive yoga routine for isolated or integrated practice
