About the course

Perhaps you’ve gained so much from attending circles, but aren’t sure where to start in holding your own. Perhaps you already hold space, yet structuring a circle feels mystifying. This training welcomes both: from women new to holding space for groups, to those looking to deepen their facilitation for their communities.
Many women are feeling the call towards circle as a counterbalance to the overwhelm, stress and loneliness of modern life. Anna’s approach blends deep sharing and ritual with yoga, breathwork, somatic and embodiment practices to soothe the nervous system and foster connection to self and others. Alongside experiencing a range of circles, you’ll learn the invisible architecture of space holding that underpins a well-held circle.
What will I learn?
Circle foundations. Why women’s circles are re-emerging, your circle agreements, intentions and vision, and how to structure and set up different types of circle.
Facilitation and space holding. Your purpose as a facilitator, the role of body language and nervous system regulation, and advanced space holding skills, with supported practice.
Female archetypes and goddess activation. Connecting with the energies of the feminine archetypes and goddesses, and channelling them into your circles.
Sacred space, ritual and themes. Ways to transition to sacred space, themes for your circles, and a toolkit of rituals to draw on.
Grounding and yogic techniques. Grounding and breathwork techniques, creating your own guided relaxations (yoga nidra), and Partner Yoga techniques for bonding.
Astrology, moon phases and cyclical living. Working with the moon and astrological phases, and creating New and Full Moon Circles, with guidance from an experienced astrologer.
The inner work and group dynamics. Shadow work as a facilitator, group dynamics and behaviour archetypes, and training in trauma-informed facilitation.
Your unique circle offering. Discovering your own circle style, and leaving with a clear vision for your circles and how to create them.
By the end of the training, you will have a clear sense of your vision and what you offer, and the confidence to hold your circles with a strong structure and a toolkit to change direction in the moment.

We love questions! Choosing a 50-hour training is a big step in your teaching journey. You can email clare@yogarise.london for more information or with any questions about the course, including arranging a clarity call with Anna.
What to expect?
Each day begins with a circle, so you experience the power of deep sharing and sisterhood, combined with holistic practices and ritual. We then move into our teaching space, where we talk through the component parts of the circle. You learn by practising elements of circle in pairs, then small groups, with presentations along the way. On day four, the group co-creates a circle, and every day closes with a circle.
