Level-up your teaching

‘The Art of Letting Go’ is a Yin training with Senior Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) Austin Ince. The training is for practitioners looking to deepen their understanding of yin yoga and immerse themselves in the practice, and for yoga, pilates and fitness instructors looking to add yin yoga to their teaching offering or to incorporate functional anatomy principles and yin into their current classes.

Why Yin?

Yin yoga is the perfect complement to a regular vinyasa practice and can help us to restore our energy by releasing tension in the body.

In Yin yoga we work more into the connective tissue and joints, stressing them to increase their health. This is tailored to the individual, using our knowledge of anatomical variations.

As a teaching skill, Yin can be extremely beneficial in one-to-one settings, helping students to increase their range of motion and aid those who are rehabilitating injuries. Yin yoga is also a great second practice to teach in the evenings on a retreat – another great tool in the box!

The Yin practice can have a profound effect on the central nervous system so all participants will reap the rewards of multiple sessions over the two long-weekends.

Meet the teacher

Austin Ince

Austin has been directing this course since 2016 and teaches weekly classes for Yogarise in both Streatham and Peckham studios (and livestream) as well as on our On Demand Yoga channel.

Prior to curating the course, Austin undertook five different yin teacher trainings, with some of the most influential Yin teachers around, including Bernie Clark and Paul Grilley. He felt that whilst all courses had lots to offer, there wasn’t one course that ‘had it all’. Austin created his own training ‘The Art of Letting Go’ to combine all his learnings and produce a fully-rounded, functional anatomy-based training with an emphasis on teaching methodology. It is also a great refresher for those who wish to brush up on and delve deeper into functional anatomy.
