Inversions Workshop! Get Upside Down in February

Inversions workshop

New to going upside down?

Have you been curious about an inversions workshop, but are worried about trying them out in a regular yoga class? Or are you an experienced inverter who would like to enhance your knowledge of the practice and have an opportunity to learn more about how to adapt it to your particular anatomy? You’ve come to the right place.

In these workshops you’ll be able to get the kind of proper instruction and teacher input that’s impossible to access in a regular Yoga class, allowing you to enter this exciting side of the practice safely and with confidence.

This series will consist of four two-hour long classes introducing the inversions practice to beginners and helping experienced inverters take their practice to the next level.

Meet your Teachers!

This workshop will be joint led by Fiona Callanan and Zoe Rowe. Each week the two of them will be in studio helping you access poses safely and demonstrating spotting techniques for you to use in partners.

Fiona Callanan

Fiona Callanan completed her first teacher training in Hong Kong in 2018. Since then she has done advanced trainings with Patrick Creelman, Jason Crandell, Marcus Veda and Hannah Whittingham. She teaches Rocket Inspired 4 Beat Vinyasa to music and her classes focus on finding stillness and focus through the breath and proper alignment in the poses for every body. Fiona is a right below the knee amputee, having lost her leg in the Asian Tsunami of 2004.

Her Yoga practice has had a huge impact on her physically, showing her directly through her body every day that her limitations are always much more mental than physical. Fiona aims in her classes to teach her students to understand how to apply their Yoga practice to their lives to empower themselves to challenge any perceived limitations that they might have and invoke a sense of possibility, joy, and fun, so that both they and those around them can benefit from their practice.

Zoe Rowe

Zoe Rowe has been teaching since she completed hot yoga teacher training in 2017. She has since completed many more hours of training in Rocket, Mandala Vinyasa, Yin, Pre & Post-natal and Yoga Nidra. No matter if she is teaching a dynamic flow or a nurturing yin, Zoe loves to incorporate playfulness and creativity into her classes, encouraging students to tune in with how poses feel in their body, connect with their breath and challenge themselves if they wish to along the way.

Zoe is passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive environment to guide people of all abilities through their yoga journey to help them find the benefits of yoga that have been so influential to her life.
