Experience the transformative power of a traditional moving meditation. Join senior teacher Leela Miller at Yogarise Queen’s Park for a 2-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa masterclass exploring the traditional Full Primary Series.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a structured, dynamic sequence of postures supported by intentional breathwork to control the flow of subtle energy. Regular practice builds physical strength, increases flexibility, and deepens mental focus. This immersive masterclass offers dedicated time to experience the complete sequence alongside the three traditional pillars of Tristhana: Ujjayi breath, Bandhas (energetic locks), and Drishti (focused gaze).
What to expect:
-
Full Primary Series Sequence: Practice the complete traditional Ashtanga sequence in a focused masterclass setting.
-
The Pillars of Tristhana: Deepen your understanding of breath, energetic locks (bandhas), and focal points (drishti) to create a true moving meditation.
-
Refined Technique: Work with a master teacher to build core strength, mobility, and breath connection.
-
Senior Guidance: Benefit from Leela’s 30+ years of Ashtanga teaching experience and deep anatomical knowledge.
Who is this for? This masterclass is recommended for students with prior experience in Ashtanga or dynamic Vinyasa yoga looking to experience or refine their Full Primary Series practice. Note: This session is not suitable for complete beginners.
