Build strength, explore balance, and learn to fly. Join Richard Knight at Yogarise Peckham for a playful, empowering 2-hour workshop dedicated to Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Stand).
Pincha Mayurasana is a challenging arm balance that requires a deliberate blend of shoulder mobility, core strength, and steady focus. This workshop gives you the dedicated time and space to explore, condition, fall, and find your balance in a safe, supportive environment.
What we will explore:
-
Strength & Mobility: Unpack the key anatomical requirements needed to get into—and stay in—your forearm stand safely.
-
Drills & Conditioning: Practice targeted exercises to build shoulder stability, core engagement, and upper-body power.
-
Entries & Exits: Learn multiple ways to enter the pose with control, alongside essential techniques to exit and fall safely.
-
Playful Exploration: Work in a supportive setting where you are encouraged to try, stumble, and refine your practice without pressure.
Who is this for? Some prior yoga experience is recommended, but you do not need to be able to hold a headstand, handstand, or forearm stand to attend. This workshop is designed to give you the foundational tools to work towards the posture at your own pace.
