What is Transformational Breathwork?

Transformational Breathwork is a therapeutic breathing technique similar to Rebirthing or Holotropic Breathwork. It makes use of continuous, circular, and connected breathing to shift your state of consciousness, helping you access and release trapped emotions that may be holding you back.

Unlike traditional meditation or gentle breathwork classes, this is an active, powerful practice designed to bring about real change. Through sustained, intentional breathing, you can experience:

  • Profound emotional release and stress relief
  • Altered states of consciousness
  • A sense of peace, love, and euphoria
  • Greater connection to yourself and others
  • A renewed sense of clarity 
  • Physical and energetic shifts in the body

What does a session look like?

Preparation (15-20mins)
Each session begins with light stretching and grounding exercises to help you connect with your body. Kerry introduces the emotional, physical, and spiritual elements of breathwork, ensuring you feel prepared and safe.

Active Breathwork (30mins)
The core of the session involves 30 minutes of powerful, guided breathing set to an energetic soundtrack. Simply lay down, close your eyes, and let your breath guide you as Kerry leads you through the practice.

Integration, Rest + Yoga Nidra
In this final phase, you’ll have time to process whatever has arisen — physical sensations, emotions, or insights. This passive phase is essential for integration. Sessions conclude with Yoga Nidra, a guided relaxation that leaves you feeling calm, grounded, and blissful.

Kerry discovered yoga, breathwork, and meditation over 20 years ago, and these practices have transformed her life. As a qualified breathwork and yoga teacher with additional training in nutrition, meditation, and mindfulness, she brings decades of experience and genuine passion to every session.

Driving Kerry is the love and appreciation these practices have brought into her life, and the desire to share that gift with others. She’s committed to creating enriching experiences that support mental, physical, and spiritual growth within the local community.

This practice can be incredibly powerful, which means it’s not suitable for everyone. Breathwork may trigger strong physical and emotional responses, so it’s important to consult your doctor before attending if any of these contraindications apply to you:

  • Cardiovascular disease or heart-related conditions
  • High blood pressure
  • Glaucoma or retinal detachment
  • Osteoporosis or recent injury/surgery
  • History of panic attacks or severe mental illness
  • Seizure disorders or family history of aneurysms
  • Asthma (please bring your inhaler)
  • Pregnancy or are currently breastfeeding
